I'm after the collected wisdom of the Forumites on Transmission 1. I am in the process of having a shack clearout and all manner of 'stuff' has to go, most of which I have accumulated over 20 years or so.
Last week I unearthed a box which I remember being given around ten years ago. It contains a Uniden 2830. I am a radio ham and already have a TS50 which does all I want hf-wise, so I was intending to sell this on. Unfortunately, it is totally dead. No lights, no sound, no nothing.The fuse in the power lead checks out OK, and upon closer inspection, there is nothing anywhere on the boards which shows obvious signs of being cooked. See photos.
Should I take the time to try to fix it and sell it working, or sell it as-is for parts or possible repair by an active CB-er?
